    About

The problem it solves Trillions of dollars are spent annually on social initiatives by governments, foundations, donors, and corporations, yet there is a significant gap between spending and actual progress toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The lack of standardized tracking and evaluation leaves us uncertain about the real impact of these investments, creating a need for a transparent system to measure and reward social contributions. Introducing SuperImpact—an open impact registry and funding mechanism that allows anyone, from large enterprises to individuals, to measure, record, and monetize their social impact. By turning social contributions into a tradeable asset class, SuperImpact bridges the gap between social spending and measurable progress. Key Features: 1. Universal Impact Registry: SuperImpact offers a platform to track social contributions, ensuring consistent documentation and public access to impact claims. 2. Customizable Impact Modules: The platform includes Impact and Work modules that define and record the scope and type of impact, detailing the work, evidence, time frames, and contributors. Evaluators assign value to the impact. 3. On-Chain Recording: SuperImpact uses blockchain (ERC-3643 or T-Rex) to securely record impact registries. Impact tokens can be bought whole or fractionalized, allowing wider participation. 4. Incentivizing Contributions: Buyers receive certificates for their investment, which cannot be resold, preventing double counting. Exceptional work is rewarded to encourage continuous improvement. 5. Engaging and Automated: SuperImpact is user-friendly and automates much of the tracking, evaluation, and trading processes, making it easy to engage in social impact efforts. Future Vision: SuperImpact envisions social impact as a valuable, tradeable asset class, unlocking new economic opportunities and de-risking impact funding, driving global progress toward SDGs.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into We faced two significant challenges during the development of this project: Contract Deployment Issues: During the deployment of our smart contracts, we encountered a problem where the contract creation would result in 0 bytecode, causing it to revert whenever a function was called. Interestingly, this issue was specific to the Haqq RPC, as the deployment worked seamlessly on other chains. Complex Approval Process for Impact Submission: Our project requires the involvement of a third party to approve each Impact submission, and this approval must be recorded or attached to every ERC-20 token created. This requirement introduced a layer of complexity that could slow down the process and complicate compliance with various local regulations. To address this, we implemented the ERC-3643 T-REX standard. This standard is highly modular, allowing us to design a regulated framework that fits our specific needs while ensuring compliance with local government regulations. This approach streamlined the approval process, making it more efficient and adaptable to different regulatory environments.
