The problem it solves Lack of ownership - Users lack control over their social assets as large tech companies control user data. Without data ownership users can be exploited for commercial gain. Platform dependance - Users are required to repeatedly build their social following and create content on different apps. This leads to platform lock-in of a user's social capital. Monetization difficulty - Users have difficulty monetizing their content directly to their followers. Centralized platforms often take a cut and limit payment options.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Flow access nodes were causing errors. Wallet providers were causing authentication error. Historical data couldn't be fetched from the API (more than few months old).
