The problem it solves - There is no real-world incentive in gaming especially a skillful challenging one like chess. PAWN WARS provides the best platform for these experiences. - Chess is a community game and hence best played with a rewarding community, we hope to soon integrate $GAMBIT our custom token to fund GAMBIT DAO and onboard stakeholders that can take the community forward - There is no real-world incentive for buying in-game items or any opportunity to create the best items for creators. Pawn wars give the opportunity to collect in-game items to create a unique experience in the form of NFTs and also gives Chess Community creators the option to incentive their creativity.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into - Diving into blockchain was intimidating, solidity has a high learning curve. - Building a mobile-first web3 app was hard because of a lack of tooling for connecting and integrating with wallet. - We started out short on time which made it very hard and challenging to integrate many features and build a functional app. - Building a chess gaming app with a betting feature using web3 was demanding because of the complex logic. - integrating multiple 3rd party services like stackOS, Filecoin and Matic was the trickiest part. - We had very little blockchain knowledge and had not worked with sockets before so was a challenging learning experience.
