The problem it solves The problem solved by this project is the lack of easy and cost-effective solutions for individuals to off-ramp their cryptocurrency into fiat currency in India and the UPI-enabled region. Many people still heavily rely on fiat currency for payment of goods and services, and there is a growing need for an off-ramping solution that allows for easy conversion of cryptocurrency into fiat currency. Fiato addresses this need by providing a user-friendly website that enables individuals to cash out their cryptocurrency for local fiat currency instantly. Additionally, by utilizing the power of the Polygon blockchain, Optimism, and smart contracts, Fiato offers a secure and efficient off-ramping solution for individuals. Overall, the project provides a convenient and affordable way for people to transition between crypto and fiat currencies, which helps to bridge the gap between traditional and digital currencies.

How it's made

Challenges we ran into During the development of this project, i encountered a challenge when attempting to transfer tokens in a single transaction using a relayer. Specifically, i faced issues related to the approve transaction and deposit transaction, which needed to be executed in a single transaction. To overcome this challenge, i incorporated the use of OpenZeppelin Defender relayer and permit function. This helped us to streamline the process and ensure that both transactions were executed correctly within a single transaction. With the use of Defender relayer, we were able to automate the approval and deposit transaction processes and ensure that the token transfer was completed successfully. Despite the challenge faced during development, i was able to find a reliable solution and implement it effectively, ensuring that the project was delivered on time and to a high standard.
