About
The problem it solves Bond chain solves several problems in the current traditional bond market by leveraging the benefits of blockchain and nfts. - Lack of transparency: In the current bond market, there is a lack of transparency in the pricing and trading of bonds. A decentralized bond market can provide a transparent and accessible platform where the bond issuers and investors can interact directly, without the need for intermediaries. - Limited access: The traditional bond market is often limited to institutional investors and high net worth individuals, making it inaccessible for small retail investors. A decentralized bond market can allow anyone with an internet connection to participate in bond trading and investing, thereby increasing the accessibility and inclusivity of the market. - High costs: The traditional bond market can be costly for both issuers and investors, with high fees and transaction costs associated with intermediaries such as investment banks, brokers, and custodians. A decentralized bond market can reduce these costs by removing intermediaries and automating many of the processes involved in bond issuance and trading. - Counterparty risk: In the current bond market, there is a risk of default by the bond issuer, which can lead to losses for the investors. A decentralized bond market can mitigate this risk by using smart contracts to automate the payment and settlement of bonds, ensuring that payments are made automatically and on time.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into - Integrating chainlink with smart contracts ( We went through the documentation thoroughly) - Keeping a track of owner for each fraction ( We exchanged each fractionalized ERC20 tokens with ERC721 transferring the ownership to the buyer. - Preparing new smart contract for each user(company) for minting the respective bonds. (Made another minter contract which would deploy each nft contract into blockchain whenever the user(company) gives us the data(interest, time period, minimum amount)
