    TrustedSwarm

Pool laptops you already own into a WebGPU room. Split an LLM. Hedera pays the work.

    About

Trusted Swarm puts blockchain at the edges of browser GPU inference: ENS identifies who may earn, Hedera collects and splits payment, HCS records whether the job actually finished. Devices still run the model in-tab over WebGPU/WebRTC. A *.trustedswarm.eth name carries a hedera text record that must match the pay-to account or the paid path is 403 and no HBAR moves. POST /v1/chat/completions returns x402 HTTP 402 until Blocky402 settles on Hedera testnet; no host tab means 503, not a silent charge. Success receipts and worker HBAR splits (by pledged GPU, 10% host cut) land on HashScan; failed generations write a receipt and pay nothing. Agents use Bazantic: quote → Hedera pay → swarm completion → HashScan.

    How it's made

The inference engine is WebGPU + WebRTC in the browser (Vite/React PWA + a SwarmLLM-derived runtime). Blockchain sits only at the identity, payment, and audit boundary — not on every token. node runtime/serve.mjs is an OpenAI-compatible localhost bridge (127.0.0.1:11435). It does not run the model. The host tab on /market connects out over WebSocket; curl, agents, and Bazantic POST /v1/chat/completions into that same queue. Marketplace posting stays free. Paid mode is env-gated: set HEDERA_ACCOUNT_ID and the bridge returns HTTP 402 until the client retries with an x402 v2 X-PAYMENT. Hedera is the settlement layer. Blocky402 on testnet verifies and settles a flat HBAR price per completion. On success we split credits by pledged GPU memory (host cut default 10%, observers get nothing); on failure we still write a receipt and pay zero. @hiero-ledger/sdk submits that receipt to HCS, and /market shows the HashScan link. Solo host already received the x402 payment, so we do not send them a second transfer. Worker credits ≤ 0.10 ℏ auto-transfer; larger amounts are recorded, not sent. ENSv2 is admission, not decoration. Hedera-on implies ENS-on. Devices paste a *.trustedswarm.eth name on /onboard. viem resolves the Sepolia hedera text record; it must equal payTo before settle. Bad or missing host name → 403, no HBAR taken. Paid retry with no host tab → 503, no settle. Skip ENS and you can still compute, but you earn nothing. Bazantic gets a public OpenAPI spec and GET /v1/price on Vercel. The Recipe is quote → Hedera pay → localhost completion → HashScan. Vercel cannot run WebGPU, so it never infers.
