About
Each tip jar is its own on-chain object with its own balance, so you can run separate jars for separate purposes (a stream, a project, a cause), and each one keeps its own total until you redeem it. Supporters don't need the app: they scan the QR code and send from any Sui wallet. A Move smart contract records every deposit, and only the holder of the jar's OwnerCap can collect and withdraw the funds.
How it's made
A Move smart contract on Sui defines a shared TipJar that anyone can pay into and an owned OwnerCap that acts as the owner's key. USDC support was added via a package upgrade using dynamic-field vaults. Tips sent by QR from any wallet land at the jar's address, and the owner collects them into the jar with Sui's object-balance and receive features. Every action is a single PTB. The React + dApp Kit frontend has no backend: it reads the chain directly via gRPC and GraphQL.
