    SettleOne-Protocol

Risk-aware DeFi infrastructure that puts escrow capital to work before settlement.

    Demo

    About

SettleOne is intelligent settlement infrastructure that enables escrow capital to be productively managed through risk-aware DeFi strategies while preserving explicit settlement constraints. Instead of leaving capital idle until a deal settles, SettleOne evaluates eligible strategies, applies a predefined risk policy, monitors positions using on-chain data, and manages controlled exits when risk or settlement conditions require it. The platform combines on-chain escrow, configurable risk policies, deterministic strategy selection, Aave-based yield generation, yield accounting and distribution, The Graph for blockchain data, and an AI risk-monitoring layer. AI is used to interpret and explain risk signals rather than directly control funds. Deterministic rules and smart contracts remain responsible for financial actions. A typical flow is: create a deal → fund escrow → define risk policy → evaluate strategy → deploy eligible capital → monitor yield and risk → exit when required → settle the deal → distribute eligible yield. The goal is simple: make settlement capital more productive without making yield more important than settlement safety.

    How it's made

SettleOne is being developed as a full-stack Web3 settlement infrastructure platform using a Turborepo monorepo with React and TypeScript on the frontend and a Node.js/TypeScript backend. The frontend integrates RainbowKit, ethers.js and Web3 tooling for wallet connectivity and blockchain interactions. The backend uses Prisma and PostgreSQL for application data, JWT-based authentication, Redis and BullMQ for background processing, and Socket.IO for real-time updates. Google OAuth is used as part of the authentication flow, while Alchemy RPC provides reliable blockchain connectivity. The smart-contract layer is built in Solidity using Foundry and deployed on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet. The contracts handle the core settlement infrastructure, including escrow state, deal lifecycle, settlement conditions, strategy interactions, and controlled fund movement. Chainlink Automation is being integrated for automated on-chain monitoring and execution where appropriate. The current DeFi implementation is being built around Aave, with the architecture designed around an extensible strategy layer so additional protocols can be integrated later. Pinata is used for decentralized storage where required. The platform is deployed using Vercel for frontend infrastructure and Railway for backend services. Two important components are currently under active development and are not yet part of the live deployed flow: the The Graph data layer and the AI risk-monitoring layer. The planned Graph integration will provide indexed on-chain/Aave data for the strategy and risk engines, while the AI layer will analyze structured risk signals, identify anomalies, summarize position health, and explain recommended actions. The architecture intentionally separates intelligence, policy, and financial execution. The deterministic risk and strategy engines evaluate predefined constraints, while AI is designed as a monitoring and explanation layer rather than an autonomous fund controller. Actual financial actions remain constrained by application logic and Solidity smart contracts. This separation ensures that an AI model cannot independently move funds or override the settlement and risk policies defined by the protocol. Current status: the core settlement, escrow, authentication, backend infrastructure, smart-contract system, Sepolia deployment, DeFi integration work, and supporting infrastructure are being actively developed, while The Graph integration and AI risk-monitoring layer are currently in development and will be integrated into the next stage of the system.
