Autonomous DeFi research agent: Graph + OpenSEO scores, x402 micropayments, Privy, ENS identity

    About

Scout is an autonomous on-chain research agent for Base lending markets. You give it a plain-language prompt and a USDC budget; it discovers live protocol data from The Graph (Messari Lending/CDP subgraphs), enriches candidates with OpenSEO keyword and SERP signals, then ranks them with a deterministic six-dimension opportunity score plus a separate risk score no LLM in the scoring math. When the top two candidates are too close to call, Scout pauses and asks you to authorize a small, policy-capped x402 micropayment for one extra diagnostics report—paid by a Privy server wallet, never the visitor’s wallet. Results stream live over SSE, and the final status is published to an ENSv2 name (scout-agent.eth) via a Permissioned Resolver. The full decision log, including refused payments or missing evidence, stays with the session.

    How it's made

Scout is a TypeScript Turborepo monorepo: Next.js 15 + React 19 frontend, Hono API with SSE, and shared packages for the research loop. @scout/graph queries The Graph Gateway; @scout/openseo pulls search signals; @scout/scoring runs the six-dimension model and uncertainty gate; @scout/llm (OpenRouter) only narrates already-computed scores. When the gate fires, @x402/hono gates a $0.03 USDC deep-analysis endpoint on Base Sepolia; @scout/privy signs with a policy-enforced server wallet (budget cap, per-request cap, recipient allowlist). @scout/ens writes status to ENSv2 text records on Sepolia behind role-gated access control. We also expose the pipeline as an MCP tool and ship a headless scout-agent CLI. Deployed on Render as scout-api + scout-web.
