    Raindrop

Together a community's judgments form a social graph of trust. We can let funding follow it.

    About

Raindrop is a cryptoeconomic mechanism that continuously allocates new token issuance according to a token-weighted trust network. Each round: - The protocol computes global allocation weights using EigenTrust based on current balances and trust delegations - New tokens are minted according to the configured issuance rate - Tokens are distributed proportionally to the allocation weights - The process repeats with updated balances - This creates an adaptive, self-adjusting flow where influence is conserved with respect to capital, providing Sybil resistance without external identity systems.

    How it's made

This project started as an idea that was sparked, but we used the hackathon as a way to harden the thesis, the protocol, the use-case and so much more. We spoke to open-source and DAO contributors and founders that have struggled with funding effectively throughout the event, which challenged the raindrop idea in many ways and finally got us to a point of confidence in its usefulness and stability. The end result is a whitepaper, simulations, and a battle-tested thesis so that the project is ready to be launched.
