About
Pramaan is a physical-to-onchain trust and provenance platform built specifically for high-value luxury goods such as luxury watches, jewelry, handbags, collectibles, and other premium products where authenticity, provenance, ownership, and resale value are critical. The luxury market has a fundamental trust problem: counterfeiters can replicate physical designs, serial numbers, certificates, packaging, and even digital records, while genuine products can be diverted, replaced, or tampered with somewhere between the manufacturer and the final buyer. Pramaan creates a continuous, verifiable connection between the actual luxury product, its cryptographic identity, its supply-chain journey, its ownership history, and its financial settlement. At manufacturing, every luxury item receives a unique digital identity and an on-chain digital twin. The physical item is paired with a secure NFC identity, such as an NTAG 424 DNA tag. The NFC is not simply a QR-code replacement; it acts as the cryptographic bridge connecting the physical luxury item to its digital identity. For example, when a manufacturer produces a luxury watch, Pramaan creates a batch, mints a unique identity for that specific watch, and binds its NFC identity to it. This establishes the first trusted point in the lifecycle: this particular physical watch was registered by an authorized manufacturer and is associated with this particular on-chain identity. The manufacturing layer uses a smart-contract registry to maintain critical identity information on-chain. Batch creation, individual product minting, NFC binding, and tag status are represented as verifiable blockchain state and events. Operational information such as manufacturers, organizations, roles, permissions, and product metadata is maintained in Supabase/PostgreSQL, while the blockchain acts as the authoritative layer for critical identity and lifecycle state. The Graph indexes these blockchain events, providing an efficient, queryable provenance history for each luxury item. Instead of simply asking whether a serial number exists, participants can ultimately inspect the item's history and understand how its digital identity has evolved. Once the luxury item leaves the manufacturer, Pramaan follows that same identity through the authorized luxury supply chain. A product can move from manufacturer to distributor, logistics provider, another distributor, and finally retailer, with custody transitions recorded throughout the journey. At important handoffs, the product identity can be verified and the relevant custody state updated. This creates a continuous chain of provenance rather than disconnected shipping records, making every participant accountable for the product while it is under their custody. Pramaan adds an intelligent monitoring layer to the physical movement of luxury goods. During transportation, checkpoints generate telemetry such as location, timestamp, and movement information. The system evaluates this information against deterministic rules for suspicious conditions such as impossible travel speeds, unexpected route deviations, geofence violations, duplicate appearances, or other inconsistencies with the expected journey. These signals produce a risk assessment, while an AI agent interprets the evidence and explains why a shipment may be suspicious. The AI does not blindly determine authenticity; security-critical signals come from deterministic verification and supply-chain rules, while the agent provides intelligent analysis and orchestration. Hedera supports the scalable infrastructure required for supply-chain telemetry and agent activity. Instead of putting every operational event directly on an EVM blockchain, relevant high-frequency activity can be handled through Hedera. x402 enables machine-to-machine payments for agent and infrastructure services, allowing parts of the verification and monitoring ecosystem to become economically programmable. A key differentiator of Pramaan is that anomaly detection does not simply produce a warning on a dashboard. A detected anomaly can trigger a financial consequence. Imagine a luxury watch traveling through an authorized route from Mumbai to Dubai and then London. If the system suddenly receives evidence that the same watch appears in New York only twenty minutes later, the movement is physically implausible. Pramaan can identify the anomaly, generate a high risk score, have the AI agent explain the suspicious behavior, and trigger an on-chain response such as freezing the associated settlement. This creates Pramaan's core loop: Physical product → Cryptographic identity → Supply-chain telemetry → Anomaly detection → AI analysis → Blockchain action → Financial enforcement. For financial enforcement, Pramaan integrates Uniswap v4 hooks as a programmable settlement layer. When custody transitions and verification conditions are satisfied, settlement can proceed according to predefined rules. If a serious supply-chain anomaly occurs, the corresponding escrow or settlement can be frozen until the issue is investigated and resolved. This transforms supply-chain monitoring from passive visibility into an enforceable system where financial incentives are connected to the physical integrity of the luxury item. At the point of sale, the consumer becomes part of the verification loop. A buyer can interact with the item's NFC identity and verify it against its registered digital identity and provenance. Instead of relying only on a printed certificate, serial number, or retailer claim, the customer receives cryptographic evidence connecting the physical luxury item to its registered digital identity. The customer can also inspect its provenance and understand where it originated and how it moved through the authorized supply chain. Pramaan continues beyond the initial purchase through digital ownership and trusted resale. Luxury goods have significant secondary-market value, making authenticity at resale just as important as authenticity at the original purchase. The item's digital ownership follows the legitimate owner throughout its lifecycle. During resale, a buyer can physically verify the luxury item before the digital ownership transfer is completed. This creates a stronger connection between physical possession, authenticity, digital ownership, and settlement in the secondary market. The architecture gives each technology a specific responsibility. NFC anchors Pramaan to the physical luxury item; EVM smart contracts maintain authoritative identity, ownership, lifecycle, and settlement state; Supabase manages operational data and access control; The Graph provides the queryable provenance layer; Hedera supports scalable telemetry and agent infrastructure; x402 enables machine-to-machine payments; AI analyzes supply-chain anomalies; and Uniswap v4 hooks connect product state to programmable financial settlement. Ultimately, Pramaan is not simply an NFT, NFC authentication system, or shipment-tracking dashboard. It is a trust infrastructure for the luxury economy, where a physical product carries a verifiable digital identity throughout its entire lifecycle. From manufacturing and NFC binding to logistics, anomaly detection, retail verification, ownership, and resale, Pramaan connects the physical and digital worlds into one continuous, verifiable product lifecycle.
How it's made
Pramaan is built as a partner-first Web3 infrastructure platform for luxury goods, where each partner technology has a specific role in connecting the physical product, its provenance, intelligence, and financial settlement. The frontend is built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with wagmi and viem providing wallet connectivity and communication with our EVM smart contracts. The application layer uses Supabase PostgreSQL for organizations, roles, permissions, product metadata, shipments, checkpoints, and operational state, while critical ownership, product identity, custody, and settlement logic is handled through smart contracts. At the physical layer, Pramaan uses NFC technology from NXP, specifically the NTAG 424 DNA family, to give every luxury item a cryptographically verifiable physical identity. During manufacturing, the item's NFC identity is bound to its unique digital product identity. This makes the NFC tag the bridge between the physical luxury item and its digital representation. Unlike a conventional QR code or printed serial number that can simply be copied, the secure NFC architecture provides cryptographic evidence that can be used during subsequent verification and handoffs. The core on-chain identity is implemented using Solidity and Foundry, with our Registry contract maintaining the relationship between batches, individual luxury products, and their NFC identities. Product and tag identifiers are represented using deterministic cryptographic hashes, keeping unnecessary product information off-chain while preserving verifiable relationships on-chain. The same identity created at manufacturing becomes the foundation for the product's subsequent logistics, verification, ownership, and settlement lifecycle. The Graph provides the provenance and indexing layer for Pramaan. Blockchain events generated throughout the product lifecycle can be indexed and exposed through GraphQL, allowing the platform to reconstruct a luxury item's history efficiently. This is particularly important for luxury goods because provenance itself contributes to value: a buyer should be able to understand not just whether an item exists, but where it originated, which authorized entities handled it, and how its ownership and verification history evolved. For the high-frequency physical supply-chain layer, Pramaan integrates Hedera. Logistics checkpoints and telemetry can generate significantly more operational activity than is practical to place directly on an EVM chain. Hedera provides an efficient infrastructure layer for this activity while the EVM remains responsible for the critical state that requires strong programmability and financial enforcement. This gives Pramaan a hybrid architecture in which operational scale and blockchain-level trust complement each other rather than competing for the same workload. We use x402 to introduce machine-to-machine economic interactions into the platform. Our supply-chain and AI infrastructure can require automated services such as telemetry processing, verification, or agent-driven operations, and x402 provides a mechanism for these services to participate in programmable payment flows. This allows Pramaan to move beyond a conventional supply-chain dashboard toward an ecosystem where autonomous software agents and infrastructure can interact economically. The intelligence layer is powered by an AI supply-chain agent. Pramaan continuously evaluates logistics information such as location, timestamps, expected routes, movement velocity, and checkpoint history. Deterministic rules identify objectively suspicious conditions such as impossible travel, route deviation, geofence violations, or duplicate appearances. The AI agent then interprets these signals, assesses the situation, explains the reason for the anomaly, and can initiate the appropriate protocol-level response. This separation is deliberate: deterministic logic establishes the security signal, while AI provides reasoning and orchestration rather than being treated as an unquestionable source of truth. The most important architectural connection is between AI-driven supply-chain intelligence and financial settlement. Through Uniswap v4 hooks, Pramaan can make settlement programmable according to the verified state of a luxury product's journey. In a normal journey, custody and verification conditions can allow settlement to proceed. If the system detects a critical anomaly, the protocol can enforce a corresponding financial action, such as freezing the associated escrow until the issue is resolved. This creates a direct relationship between the physical movement of a luxury item and the financial state of its transaction. For example, imagine a luxury watch moving from Mumbai to Dubai and then London. If the telemetry layer reports that the same watch appears in New York only minutes later, Pramaan can identify the movement as physically impossible. The anomaly is detected from supply-chain signals, the AI agent interprets and explains the event, and the resulting risk state can propagate into the blockchain settlement layer. Instead of an anomaly simply appearing as an alert that someone has to manually investigate, the financial system itself can react to the integrity of the physical supply chain. The platform also uses Supabase as the operational coordination layer. Manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, retailers, and other participants can be represented as organizations with wallet-linked profiles and role-based permissions. This provides the application with the context necessary to determine which participant is authorized to perform a particular operation, while smart contracts enforce the corresponding on-chain restrictions. The result is a hybrid authorization model combining organizational identity, wallet identity, and blockchain-level permissions. The final consumer experience brings all these layers together. A customer purchasing a luxury watch can interact with its NFC identity and verify the corresponding digital identity and provenance. The product's history can be presented through the indexed blockchain data, while its ownership can subsequently move to the legitimate buyer. Because luxury goods often retain significant value in secondary markets, Pramaan extends this identity beyond the initial sale: during resale, the physical item can be verified before digital ownership and associated settlement are transferred to the next owner. What makes Pramaan particularly notable is that none of the partner technologies are isolated features added simply for integration. Each one occupies a specific position in a single lifecycle: NXP NFC anchors the digital identity to the physical luxury item; EVM smart contracts establish authoritative product and financial state; The Graph makes provenance queryable; Hedera provides scalable infrastructure for supply-chain telemetry; x402 enables autonomous machine-to-machine payments; AI interprets supply-chain anomalies; and Uniswap v4 hooks enforce programmable financial consequences. Together, these technologies create a continuous pipeline: Physical Luxury Item → NFC Cryptographic Identity → On-chain Digital Twin → The Graph Provenance → Hedera Telemetry → AI Anomaly Intelligence → Uniswap v4 Financial Enforcement → Verified Ownership & Resale. Pramaan is therefore designed not as a collection of Web3 components, but as a complete trust infrastructure for the luxury lifecycle, where physical authenticity, provenance, logistics intelligence, ownership, and financial settlement are connected into one programmable system.
