About
Plumb AI is an execution interface for DeFi that lets you interact with DeFi using plain English. Instead of figuring out which platform to use, what buttons to click, or how to set up a transaction, simply type what you want to do. Plumb AI understands your request and turns it into clear, simple steps showing exactly what will happen. Once you're ready, you just review the steps and sign the transaction in your wallet for approval. You stay in control of your funds at every step. The goal is to make DeFi execution as simple as having a conversation. You don't need to understand all the technical details behind a transaction, you just need to explain what you want. Type what you want. Get the steps. Review. Sign. Done. Plumb AI brings a simpler, more accessible way to execute actions across DeFi, without making users navigate through complicated interfaces or multiple platforms.
How it's made
Plumb AI works as a translation layer between plain-English requests and on-chain DeFi transactions. A user first describes what they want to do in plain English. The request is sent to the Groq API, which identifies the user's intent and the required DeFi actions. Plumb then maps that intent to supported protocols and APIs, such as Uniswap, Aave, and Morpho. For each action, the backend fetches the required data through protocol APIs and RPCs, builds the transaction parameters and calldata, and sends the prepared transaction back to the frontend. Privy manages the user's wallet connection and signing flow, so Plumb never needs custody of user funds or private keys. For multi-step actions, Plumb breaks the request into individual transactions and presents them as clear steps before execution. The user reviews what is going to happen and signs each required transaction directly in their wallet. Under the hood, the main challenge was creating a common execution layer across protocols with very different APIs, contracts, parameters, and transaction formats. We built adapters around individual protocols so new DeFi integrations can be added without changing the core user experience. The result is a simple flow: plain English → intent → protocol selection → transaction building → user review → wallet signature → on-chain execution.
