    About

Memento lets you gift someone an ENS name. Set a budget in USDC, choose a registration period, and add their email and a note. They receive a claim link, sign in with their email, and choose an available name. The gift pays for registration, and Memento covers gas fees. The recipient does not need ETH or USDC. The name is registered to their wallet, and they can set it as their primary ENS name. The demo runs on Sepolia.

    How it's made

The frontend uses React, Vite and ensforge. Privy handles email login, embedded wallets and sponsored transactions. A Solidity contract holds the sender’s USDC, pays for registration and returns unused funds to the sender. Claiming uses two transactions: an ENS commitment, followed by registration after the required wait. ensforge prepares the calls, and Privy sponsors the recipient’s gas fees. The backend uses TypeScript, Effect and PostgreSQL to track gifts, verify claims and send invitations. Emails use React Email and Resend.
