    Kurabase

Supabase-like database DX for EVM apps: SQL, RLS, delegated gateways, and account-owned writes.

    About

Kurabase is a local-first relational data layer for EVM applications. It starts from a simple premise: distributed ledgers are databases, so application developers should be able to work with familiar database concepts instead of starting with Solidity. Run `kura start` to launch an Anvil chain, delegated gateway, and database workspace together. Use the Dashboard to create tables, define schemas, inspect rows, and run SQL. In an application, the JavaScript SDK provides a SQL-shaped client for querying data, inserting rows, and applying row-level security. Kurabase keeps authority explicit. Developers delegate gateways; users grant scoped, revocable sessions; and account-abstraction writes remain account-owned. ENS schema resolution also lets an instance query a named relation from another instance.

    How it's made

Kurabase is an open-source monorepo built around Solidity contracts and Foundry tests for the authority layer, a Rust gateway for chain-backed query and write handling, and TypeScript packages for the JavaScript SDK and CLI. `kura start` uses Docker Compose and Anvil to create a complete local stack. The Dashboard provides a Supabase-like workflow for tables, SQL, migrations, policies, gateway authority, and authentication configuration. The SDK exposes familiar relational operations while the gateway enforces delegated authority and scoped user sessions. ENS resolution maps named instances to schemas for cross-instance SQL. The documentation site covers the local workflow, production configuration, SDK, SQL, and architecture.
