    About

Kawaipay is an attention marketplace that turns verified human attention into programmable payments. Instead of paying creators for clicks, Kawaipay measures engagement in five-second intervals, scores the activity through an off-chain trust Oracle, and pays creators based on verified seconds of attention. World ID provides the human-trust layer at payout: before creator earnings are released, Kawaipay uses World ID Proof of Human to verify the payout recipient as a unique human. This adds a human verification layer to the payout flow and helps prevent duplicate or automated identities from repeatedly claiming creator earnings. Sui provides the financial layer. Sellers fund campaigns with USDC held in on-chain escrow, while payout rules, per-link budgets, sequence numbers, caps, expiry, and freeze controls are enforced on-chain. Signed Oracle attestations authorize valid payouts, which are settled in batches so creators can receive USDC within minutes. Each link has a public, auditable history of its payouts. Kawaipay does not claim to eliminate bots or prove that every reader is human. Instead, it narrows and bounds trust: the Oracle handles subjective attention scoring off-chain, while Sui enforces what can actually be paid. The result is a system where sellers pay for measurable attention, creators get paid closer to when that attention happens, and the financial flow is publicly checkable.

    How it's made

Kawaipay is built as a full-stack application with a browser-based attention SDK, an off-chain trust Oracle, World ID verification, and Sui smart contracts forming the core payment layer. The browser SDK reports reader engagement in five-second heartbeats. These signals are sent to the Oracle, which scores each tick based on behavioral signals and assigns a payout weight. The Oracle maintains the running tally and produces signed, capped payout attestations. Sequence numbers, expiry, session secrets, and token chaining help prevent replayed or fabricated heartbeats. World ID is integrated into the payout flow using Proof of Human. When a creator becomes eligible to receive earnings, Kawaipay verifies the payout recipient as a unique human before releasing the payout. This adds a human-trust check at the point where real campaign funds are being distributed, helping prevent duplicate or automated identities from repeatedly claiming creator earnings. On Sui, Move smart contracts manage campaign objects, USDC escrow, per-link budgets, payout limits, sequence numbers, expiry, freeze controls, and payout transfers. Sellers fund campaigns directly into escrow, and only valid signed Oracle attestations can release funds. Payouts are batched every 10–60 seconds rather than sending an on-chain transaction for every individual second of attention. Each creator link is represented as its own Sui object with a publicly checkable history. Batch tick logs are committed through a log fingerprint, allowing the recorded payout data to be independently checked without putting the complete reader-level telemetry on-chain. We deliberately keep subjective computation off-chain and financial enforcement on-chain: the Oracle decides what attention is likely valid, while Sui decides what is actually allowed to be paid. This makes the system scalable while bounding what a compromised off-chain component can do. We also designed the Oracle as a potential standalone paid service using x402 on Sui: external agents or services can pay per trust verdict, turning Kawaipay's fraud-detection layer into an independent primitive for other applications.
