About
Verity is a pay-per-correct-answer protocol for AI agents on Hedera. Existing x402 services settle as soon as a provider delivers a response, even when that response is wrong. Verity reverses the flow: the buyer receives the real response first, checks it against a versioned deterministic , and only then settles the signed payment through Blocky402. The live reference market uses FX rates and entity resolution, where correctness has objective ground truth. When a buyer rejects an answer, Verity requires a bond and a verified human root. Independent checkers compare competing provider responses under a strict-majority rule. The result, content hashes, votes, bond resolution, and reputation evidence are anchored to Hedera through HCS and can be independently replayed. Providers earn reliability standing, buyers earn honesty standing, and reputation follows durable human identity rather than disposable wallet addresses. The public demo is live on Hedera testnet.
How it's made
Verity was built from scratch as a TypeScript monorepo with independent HTTP provider processes, a deterministic buying agent, a Solidity bond escrow contract, and a two-entry-point SDK. Providers use the SDK to protect existing x402 handlers with a price and published verifier rule. The FX provider supports a real DEGRADE_MODE that returns an incorrect rate without using a mock, while the entity-resolution provider charges according to observed cached or fresh usage. The payment path uses the Hedera SDK, Blocky402 x402 v2, runtime capability discovery, HCS settlement and dispute topics, Mirror Node verification, and Hedera testnet consensus. HCS receipts are compact and content-addressed so replay never stores response bodies on-chain. A separate Go checker provides an independently implemented adjudication vote. World ID verifies the human-root input, while ERC-8004 and Agent0 provide the portable identity and reputation model. The public explorer reads live hosted Graph data and exposes the real Hedera purchase flow.
