    Float

Float is an overdraft layer that keeps AI agents running when their balance hits zero.

    About

Float is a credit layer for AI agents that lets them pay for services even when they don’t have enough funds. A human verifies their identity through World, then connects their agents to Float. Agents can make payments through Arc using USDC, while Hedera handles fast, low-cost machine payments and metered services. When an agent runs out of balance, Float can front the payment and record it as credit for that agent. The dashboard gives the human a clear view of their agents, credit limits, borrowed amount, repayments, and payment history. This allows agents to keep working without requiring them to be constantly funded, while keeping human accountability and spending limits at the center.

    How it's made

Float is built as a full-stack Web3 application using Next.js, TypeScript, Solidity, Arc, Hedera, Circle Gateway, x402, and World. We built our own credit/loan layer and deployed the core smart contract on Arc to track agent credit limits, borrowing, and repayments. World’s Selfie Check is used for human verification, while AgentKit/AgentBook connects agents back to their human. For payments, agents use Circle Gateway and x402 with USDC on Arc, while Hedera + Blocky402 powers fast, low-cost machine payments and metered services. We also built a custom FloatSignerTS payment layer that automatically detects when an agent has insufficient funds and routes the payment through Float’s credit facility instead. The frontend dashboard brings the agents, credit limits, outstanding debt, repayments, and payment activity into one place.
