    Ether Hunter

Ether Hunt: agents pay $0.01 for Graph-grounded USDC allowance audits (x402 · Arc).

    Demo

    About

Ether Hunt is a pay-per-scan on-chain allowance auditor built for ETHOnline 2026 Classic (from scratch). An agent—or the web UI’s buyer proxy—pays $0.01 USDC for one audit. Settlement is real, not mocked: Hedera ExactScheme x402 via Blocky402 on testnet (HTTP 402 → USDC transfer → 200), or Circle Agent Stack Gateway nanopayments on Arc Testnet (eip155:5042002, GatewayWalletBatched). Unpaid calls stay gated; local “free” scans never count as prize proof. After payment, the API queries our From-Scratch The Graph Studio subgraph (ether-hunt-approvals). Mapping folds USDC Approval logs into live allowance state—Allowance, Account, and Spender entities with unlimited/revoked flags and blast-radius aggregates—so detectors read structured risk, not prose. While v0.0.2 resyncs, a tip-synced v0.0.1 fallback keeps Case Files reviewable. Rule findings plus a cite-only LLM may only reference real evidence IDs. The dossier shows Graph LIVE mode, the exact GraphQL that ran, an allowance threat graph, ranked revoke targets, Verifiable rails (HashScan / Arcscan), PDF export, and share. Judges can verify without installing anything: open published HashScan settle txs and Arcscan agent/seller links in the README.

    How it's made

Ether Hunt is an npm monorepo: Vite/React web app, Hono audit-api, shared report types, agent-consumer CLIs, and a From-Scratch AssemblyScript subgraph under subgraphs/token-approvals. Payments sit in front of the audit. Hedera uses @x402/hono + ExactHederaScheme and Blocky402’s testnet facilitator: unpaid POST /audit returns HTTP 402; the agent (or /scan/hedera proxy) settles $0.01 USDC HTS, then retries. Arc uses Circle’s Gateway facilitator and circle services pay (GatewayWalletBatched on eip155:5042002) against POST /audit/arc. Both rails stamp sources.payment.rail / settled / explorer links so the UI’s Verifiable rails panel can open HashScan or Arcscan without trust-me slides. Evidence is Graph-first. We deployed ether-hunt-approvals to Studio: the mapping folds Approval logs into mutable Allowance state plus Account/Spender aggregates (live unlimited counts, peaks, re-approvals) so risk is computed at index time. The API probes allowance-state GraphQL, caches schema mode per endpoint, and if the subject is empty mid-resync falls back to tip-synced v0.0.1 approval-events—still live Graph, not fixtures. Nine Case Files are warmed on API boot for async judges. Detectors read structured links/metrics and a spender registry (Permit2, Morpho, Balancer, Curve, …); DeepSeek (or other LLM) synthesizes only with citeable evidence IDs. Notable glue: overlapping Graph warm with x402 settle to hide latency; Prove-the-gate decodes the raw 402 challenge in-browser; PDF export uses a Blob URL print sheet (noopener blank windows broke document.write); HashScan URLs normalize mirror tx ids to @seconds.nanos. Partner tech is load-bearing: without Blocky402/x402 and Circle Gateway there is no pay-per-scan; without our subgraph the AI has nothing honest to cite.
