    About

ChainGuard Lite is a pay-per-report AI safety screening API designed for autonomous AI agents and crypto users. Every day, agents interact with unfamiliar smart contracts without safety guardrails because existing security tools require costly subscriptions or lack machine-readable APIs. ChainGuard Lite solves this by combining indexed blockchain data with HTTP-native micropayments. When an agent or user requests a safety report on an EVM address, the service issues an HTTP 402 Payment Required response. The agent autonomously signs a tiny Hedera HBAR payment (0.001 HBAR) via the x402 protocol, unlocking live GraphQL data from The Graph. A deterministic risk engine scores the address based on event counts, unique counterparties, and interaction patterns, while GPT-4o-mini translates raw evidence into clear explanations. The result is instant, pay-as-you-go safety checks without subscriptions or API keys.

    How it's made

ChainGuard Lite was built as a multi-tier microservice architecture: Frontend: React 18, Vite 6, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS using a custom "Tactile Clay Sentinel" claymorphism design system. It features live risk labels, evidence tables, and a 5-stage payment visualization timeline. Backend & Payments: Built with Express.js microservices (Agent Server and Report Service). The Report Service gates API access behind true HTTP 402 headers. The Agent Server orchestrates autonomous payment flows using @x402/hedera and @hashgraph/sdk on Hedera Testnet, signing 0.001 HBAR transfers instantly. Data & Indexing: Queries live blockchain data from The Graph Studio via GraphQL (Uniswap V3 on Arbitrum Sepolia and a custom-deployed chain-guard subgraph on Base Sepolia) to extract counterparty metrics, event bursts, and interaction logs.
