About
A car is one of the most expensive things a person ever buys, and it sits parked most of the time. Ownership is all-or-nothing: you can't buy a slice of a car you like, and you can't earn from a car you don't fully own. The rent a vehicle could generate goes entirely to whoever holds the title, and there's no simple, compliant way to split that asset — and its income — across several people. Carrentic turns a real car into shares. The car becomes an ERC-3643 security token on Hedera: people buy a share, the car is rented out, and the rent flows back to every owner on-chain, pro-rata to what they hold. An AI fleet manager watches the car, explains how it's performing, and drafts the on-chain actions — paying out this month's rent, marking the car's value — while the car's worth and the rent owners receive are priced against a live market through the Uniswap stack rather than a hard-coded number. Tokenizing a car is a single click: no wallet, the platform signs as the issuer the way a real securities issuer does, and every step settles on Hedera testnet with a verifiable receipt on HashScan. You can watch the whole loop end to end. Tokenize a car and one click deploys a real ERC-3643 token and mints its 1,000 ownership shares to the treasury. Open the fleet to see that live token, its co-owners and their pro-rata positions, and the car's value marked through Uniswap. Then ask the AI fleet manager to pay out the rent, and it drafts the on-chain payout for the owners. Every figure on the dashboard — the car's worth, the treasury, the rent — is read live, and the tokenization itself is a genuine on-chain transaction you can open on HashScan.
How it's made
Carrentic is one pnpm monorepo (turbo), with a Next.js app in apps/web and the chain, pricing, and agent logic split into packages (hedera, uniswap, agent, fund). Data flows one way: a car is tokenized on Hedera, its value and rent are priced through Uniswap, and an OpenAI agent reasons over the result and drafts the next on-chain action. The 3D fleet is react-three-fiber with real GLTF car models, and the whole app deploys as a single project on Vercel. Hedera is the core, and roughly eighty percent of the build. A car is issued as an ERC-3643 security token through the Asset Tokenization Studio (ATS) — the same factory/resolver ATS uses — and the entire deploy-and-mint chain runs server-side, operator-signed, over the Hashio JSON-RPC relay with ethers v6: deploy the token, grant the KYC / issuer / SSI-manager roles, register the issuer, grant KYC to the treasury, and issue the 1,000 shares. There is no wallet in the flow — the platform signs as the issuer, which is how a real issuer actually works — and every transaction is verifiable on HashScan (example car token: 0.0.10478278 on testnet). Uniswap is the pricing layer. The car's NAV and the rent owners are paid are computed through the Uniswap Trading API (computeNav, priceUsd, and a quoteRentPayout that quotes a WETH-to-USDC rent swap), so the value on the dashboard and the rent a co-owner receives are marked to live market prices instead of a fixed figure. Treasury holdings are valued the same way, live per request. OpenAI is the fleet manager. A LangChain agent (gpt-4o-mini, behind a provider-agnostic model layer) sits beside the dashboard: it reads the car's position, answers questions about value, owners and rent, and drafts the on- chain actions — the rent payout, the valuation — for the owner to approve. Two things fought back along the way. The ATS deploy kept reverting with no logs until we stopped feeding it Hedera "long-zero" addresses (toSolidityAddress) and switched to the canonical EVM addresses from the mirror node — after that the deploy and mint went through on the first try; and the factory also rejects an ISIN with a bad check digit (WrongISINChecksum), so the demo uses a checksum-valid ISIN. We also pivoted the tokenization off the browser MetaMask/WalletConnect ATS SDK — which needs a human to sign every step — to the server-side operator-signed flow above, which is what makes "tokenize a car" one click. Finally, react-three-fiber wouldn't render inside the app's async-streamed page (the Canvas got starved of its render loop), so the 3D car runs in an isolated /showcase route embedded as a transparent iframe. Across the sponsors it is one product. For Hedera (Tokenization of Anything), a real-world asset — a car — becomes a compliant ERC-3643 token via ATS, deployed and minted server-side and verifiable on HashScan. For Uniswap (Best Uniswap Stack Contribution), the car's value and the rent paid to owners are priced live through the Uniswap Trading API, with developer notes in FEEDBACK.md. And OpenAI is the fleet manager that reads the car and drafts the on-chain actions owners act on.
