About
Banshee Music uses Uniswap v4 as the core liquidity and trading infrastructure for its music launchpad. `BansheeHook`, a custom Uniswap v4 Hook, manages the transition of ERC-1155 songs, albums, and tickets from their initial launch into active secondary markets, while enforcing Banshee-specific market rules and tracking trading activity. This allows each music release to become a liquid, onchain market while generating transparent activity that can contribute to Banshee’s Proof-of-Performance model.
How it's made
Banshee Music is built as an ERC-1155 music launchpad powered by Uniswap v4. Songs, albums, and tickets are represented as ERC-1155 assets, while our custom BansheeHook manages their launch lifecycle and connects each release to a Uniswap v4 market for liquidity and secondary trading. The hook tracks onchain activity such as primary sales and secondary-market trades, creating transparent data that can be used for Banshee’s Proof-of-Performance model. We used Solidity and Foundry for the smart-contract stack and built the frontend as a responsive Web3 application for artists and fans. The notable part of the architecture is adapting a Flaunch-style launch model—typically designed around fungible tokens—to music assets represented by ERC-1155, allowing a song, album, or ticket release to become its own onchain market.
