About
Amulet is an autonomous DeFi guardian agent whose brain runs on an untrusted server and whose hands are a pendant on your chest. The brain watches your on-chain lending positions using live data from The Graph, decides when something needs doing (top up collateral, repay debt, rebalance), and drafts a transaction. The pendant (ESP32-S3, round touch display, haptic motor) receives the proposal, checks it against a policy stored in your ENS name, shows it on screen, buzzes, and when you swipe, streams it over Bluetooth directly to your Ledger Nano X. You tap the Ledger. The pendant broadcasts the signed transaction. No laptop, no phone, no browser extension is in the signing path. The agent can think as much as it wants; it cannot move a single wei without your body being present and your finger on hardware
How it's made
For this project, I wanted to do something I can have fun with and is actual useful for me. I recently bought a ledger and realised while experimenting that if wanted to run an agent that uses ledger for signing, it needs to be either connected to a phone or laptop but thats not handy and I dont trust phones nowdays. So I took the hardware route for this, and made a carryable pendent with a touch screen that has lots of options and helps as a middleman with no access. Had to solder some pins and buttons and made the housing with cardboard which was quite fun and when the screen and all were working, it was almost like magical. For the partner the obvious partner was Ledger here, running an agent on a server which sends request to my pendent directly via websocket that securely pairs to ledger on its own bluetooth, that I ported via ledgers own protocol, and relays a signed message tx to the ledger. The pendent shows the agent clearly which sent the tx, since each agent is registered on ens with policy and avatars, whenever a agent sends a tx, their avatars are shown on the pendent screen so its clearly visible who sent it and if the policy doesnt match, the pendent auto rejects before it reaches the leadger. No usb connection to phone or laptop needed. The battery lasts for 2 hours currently but its because the 500mah battery wasnt avaible to buy but the cool part the pendent has a screensaver of arc reactor so when youre wearing it looks like a cool arc reactor.
