    YieldStream

Streaming real yield to fund public goods

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Traditional donations often require users to part with their principal, limiting how frequently and sustainably they can contribute. YieldStream redefines this model by turning yield into programmable donation streams, enabling people to support causes continuously — without ever touching their deposited capital. By integrating Kalani (Yearn v3) and SparkLend, YieldStream unlocks real yield from decentralized money markets and redirects it directly to DAOs, nonprofits, and public goods treasuries. This ensures that donations are automated, transparent, and sustainable. It solves major pain points in on-chain giving by providing: Safe custody — depositors keep full control of their principal. Automated impact — yield flows to beneficiaries in real-time without manual intervention. On-chain transparency — all donations and yields are fully auditable. Sustainable funding — enables continuous financial support for public goods ecosystems. With YieldStream, anyone can become a permanent donor, creating lasting impact powered purely by on-chain yield generation.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Strategy Integration Conflicts: While connecting both Kalani (Yearn v3) and Spark adapters, yield accounting mismatches occurred due to differing share precision and rounding rules. We resolved this by normalizing decimals and implementing a unified accounting layer in the vault. Harvest Synchronization: Coordinating real-time harvests across multiple strategies caused inconsistent yield routing. Introducing a synchronized harvest queue ensured atomic updates and accurate beneficiary payouts. sDAI Yield Tracking: Tracking accrued yield from Spark’s sDAI markets in a gas-efficient way was tricky — we optimized this by using on-chain indexes instead of frequent balance reads.
