    Octant V2 YDS

Guide for a YDS Vault on Octant v2

    About

The problem it solves In most Web3 ecosystems today, growth depends on manually managing funds from the treasury. Teams have to submit governance proposals, wait for approvals, and handle every transfer by hand. This process slows down development, increases operational risk, and often drains core capital that could be working productively elsewhere. Octant V2 changes that dynamic. It allows ecosystems to automate funding by turning yield or protocol revenue into programmable resources for grants, community rewards, or incentive programs — all without touching the underlying principal. - By connecting yield generation directly to ecosystem growth, Octant V2 makes it easier and safer to: - Sustain long-term funding without constantly drawing down the treasury. - Reduce governance overhead through built-in automation and predefined allocation logic. - Increase transparency and trust, since yield flows and donation routes are on-chain and verifiable. - Encourage experimentation, letting teams spin up new growth initiatives quickly, backed by real yield. In short, Octant V2 turns ecosystem finance into a continuous, self-funding loop — one that compounds growth while protecting capital.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Hurdles 1. Designing a flow chart for the Octant v2 architecture was difficult. 2. Reading and understanding the YDS architecture in the documentation for Octant v2. Solution 1. I wrote an HTML code to design the flow chart for the Octant v2 architecture. 2. I studied other resources available to understand the YDS architecture.
