The problem it solves Integration between new people who are not familiar with web3 and capabilities by introducing the traditional game of snake which is well-known to older generation. - This way it can help bridge the gap of new technologies such as web3 and utilization of smart contracts and help them de-mystify concepts such as decentralisation and smart contracts which could include some of their information - Add a twist to the traditional game of unlocking and equipping items to provide a progress achievement of unlocking story mode - Single and multiplayer mode to immerse users in multiplayer ranking and weekly competitions - Smart Contracts, Real Rewards: Use smart contracts to securely snag and trade in-game assets. Every item earned is a true digital collectible you can own and flaunt. - Learn and Earn: WebSkey isn’t just a game; it’s a fun, interactive way to deepen your web3 knowledge. Get hands-on experience with decentralization and smart contracts while progressing through levels.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into - Needed a simplistic game that would not intimidate newer users - As our goal is to bring in new people to web3, a simple menu and feature is created - Minimalistic menu of the different features of the game - Ensure that users are engaged and keep interest - Initial levels are easy with unlocking of Head of Medusa by beating level 2 - Add more items in the future as displayed in the Profile page - Add weekly and multiplayer mode to have users compete with their friends and in competitions - Integrating the front end of the game with the WebSkey Contract on Base-Sepolia and the ETH-Scaffold Coinbase integration (note: still in progress) - Add wagmi hooks in between the game data and the contract, to store player data and to claim in-game items (NFTs, like the Medusa head) - Add the front-end of the game onto the ETH-Scaffold-Base code - Deploying on an L3 testnet on Base using Conduit - Using Conduit, we wanted to add our contract on its own L3 testnet on top of Base Sepolia, to minimize future costs in the event that we would store large quantities of data on-chain
