    Wagmi Party

The hottest party on the internet

    About

The problem it solves There are multiple problems with physical in-person parties: 1. they might be physically inaccessible (due to geography or space constraints) for some people 2. they are more expensive to run 3. knowing who someone is at a party before you speak to them is a challenge 4. interacting with others on chain in person is clunky and high friction. Alternatives like conference call apps like Zoom bring about their own problems. The serendipity of a hanging out physically with a bunch of people is gone. There are no organic subgroup dynamics, no spatial connections being made on Zoom. Wagmi Party introduces the best of both worlds where it recreates the in-person party dynamics with a virtual 2D space while also having all the benefits of being online and onchain

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into The problem statement I was initially working on involved the use of some sponsors' technologies that were too nascent with not much documentation for me to use. Therefore I decided to pivot halfway through the hackathon leaving me very little time to work on Wagmi Party. The internet at the venue was very unstable for me. I had to overcome this hurdle by finding another location to use WiFi and hack at.
