Demo
About
The problem it solves Unifii is an innovative WiFi internet service provider set to creatively improve internet access for university students across Nigeria. We recognize the persistent challenge of expensive and restrictive internet plans and have crafted a solution that caters to the diverse needs of today's young adults. By offering unlimited data plans at affordable prices, we aim to not only enhance the academic experience but also enrich the overall lifestyle of students. Unifii's mission goes beyond connectivity; it's about fostering a sense of freedom and empowerment among students, allowing them to explore and indulge in all that the internet has to offer. With Unifii, students can unlock their full potential, both academically and socially, without breaking the bank. Join us as we embark on this journey to redefine internet access for the modern university student in Nigeria.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into If you read my document on why I submitted this project, I have actually been building over the months, and decided to submit this project instead of the game I initially planned to, as I was sponsored and felt so bad, I'll be throwing away the opportunity to build something. There were a lot of hurdle as the only developer, from starting from scratch with the idea(just writing it on paper), to starting to build. I had to get the db structure I wanted right first, to be efficient, I also had to design the logo myself, from just an idea to what it looked like, from writing code, to watching youtube to learn how to use Figma, to design a logo, to writing API's to hooking up the API to the frontend, testing for security, writing my API documentation in openAPI standard, writing my own email senders, as I did not have that amount of money to spend on email senders like sendgrid etc, testing and improving the UI over and over. It was a lot, but I enjoyed the process, especially finding and squashing bugs.. !!! To Test(Register an account on auth.unifii.ng/registration), It's only by whitelist at the moment, to control tests and all of that. To get email whitelisted, send an email to peterebode@unifii.ng, you would receive a reply of the request status. Also, a well detailed guide to the project in the form of a presentation is added as part of the links submitted below.
