UniDonate Vault
Trade. Earn. Donate. Repeat.
About
The problem it solves Traditional donation systems are inefficient, opaque, and unsustainable. Funds are often stored idle, donors lack visibility into where money goes, and communities struggle to maintain consistent funding for public goods. UniDonate Vault solves this by introducing automated, yield-generating donations using DeFi strategies and ERC-4626 vaults. Instead of static giving, users’ contributions generate continuous yield, which is automatically distributed to social impact projects without touching the original capital. With on-chain transparency and smart contract automation, UniDonate Vault makes it easier and safer to: - Fund community and charity projects sustainably. - - Track how every donation is used, directly on-chain. - - Collaborate with others through transparent, decentralized funding. - - Reduce manual overhead — no middlemen, no trust issues.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into During development, a few challenges stood out: ERC-4626 Integration: Implementing the vault standard correctly to support both yield generation and withdrawal logic took several iterations. I studied Octant’s docs and other open DeFi vaults to align the structure properly. Uniswap & Aave Integration: Integrating Uniswap v4 and Aave v3 strategies into the same system required balancing yield calculations while ensuring capital safety. Testing on testnets helped refine this logic. Contract-Frontend Sync: While connecting the frontend (Next.js + Wagmi) with deployed contracts, I ran into ABI mismatches and RPC configuration issues, which were resolved by re-deploying with consistent build settings. Vault Automation Logic: Building an automated donation distribution mechanism that triggered yield allocation periodically required understanding Solidity scheduling patterns and safe transaction execution.
