    How it's made

What challenges are you focusing on? I'm focusing on the challenge of limited access to affordable credit in my community, where many individuals and small businesses struggle to secure loans through traditional banks. With the help of Base’s blockchain network, I'm developing a decentralized lending platform to offer peer-to-peer loans, making credit more accessible, transparent, and secure. This solution aims to empower underserved groups, reduce reliance on intermediaries, and promote financial inclusion. How does your submission address this challenge? My submission, TrustLend, is a decentralized peer-to-peer lending platform that allows users to create, request, and lend loans using smart contracts on the Base blockchain. It solves the challenge of limited access to affordable credit by enabling borrowers to secure loans without traditional intermediaries, and lenders to earn interest in a transparent, trustless environment. The platform leverages smart contracts for secure transactions and collateralized loans, reducing risks for lenders. TrustLend has the potential to increase financial inclusion by making credit more accessible, especially for underserved individuals and small businesses. Challenges we ran into One significant hurdle I encountered was the requirement to use an external device for transaction authorization. This added complexity to the user experience, as it required users to manage additional hardware, which could be cumbersome and deter potential adoption.
