Revamp, Recycle, Relove: Your Eco-Friendly Thrift Shop on the Blockchain

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Our decentralized thrift store DApp provides a unique platform for users to buy and sell pre-loved clothing in a secure, transparent, and eco-friendly way. By utilizing blockchain technology and cryptocurrency payments via MetaMask, users can engage in peer-to-peer transactions without the need for intermediaries, reducing costs and increasing trust. The DApp makes shopping easier by offering a seamless and fast transaction process, thanks to its integration with Polygon, ensuring lower fees and quicker confirmations. It also enhances safety by leveraging Ethereum’s smart contracts, which automate and secure every transaction, ensuring that buyers receive their items and sellers get paid, all without the risk of fraud. In addition, users can contribute to sustainable fashion practices by participating in a circular economy, helping reduce clothing waste.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into I faced difficulties while learning solidity and applying this to my project. It was a very difficult task for me to connect ganache to metamask and then my code to ganache, as I'm using this for the first time. But learnt a lot from this journey.
