About
The problem it solves **Crypto and blockchain education remain largely boring, fragmented, and inaccessible, especially in Africa.** According to data from Breet and Triple-A, an estimated 22 million Nigerians (10.3% of the population) hold crypto. Yet, true blockchain adoption remains stunted due to poor educational experiences, lack of interactive onboarding, and the technical barrier to entry for beginners. The Cryptonaire Show makes crypto onboarding fun and entertaining. Modelled after Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, it uses gamified quizzes focused on crypto and blockchain knowledge to onboard users in a fun, social, and rewarding way. We believe that every normie should earn their first crypto, not buy it. To make this scalable, interactive and available to more people, we built a Farcaster Mini App version of The Cryptonaire Show, allowing users to learn, play, and earn directly onchain. This approach transforms education into engagement, turning “crypto normies” into informed, active crypto/ blockchain users.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **Preventing Cheating in Gameplay** Trivia games face the risk of users Googling answers or sharing them live. Solution: We implemented a timer-based system, randomized question shuffling from a large pool and some redacted logics that are in place to prevent cheating. **Mini App UI Constraints** Designing an interactive trivia interface within Farcaster’s limited screen space was a challenge. Solution: We simplified the layout into a one-question-at-a-time format, optimized for clarity, speed, and accessibility on mobile devices. **IP Registration** major hurdle was around intellectual property (IP) registration and protection, as we needed to ensure The Cryptonaire Show brand, content format, and visual identity are protected both locally and internationally while keeping the initiative open and community-driven. **Positioning the show in a compliant way** Finally, we worked on strategically positioning the show in a compliant way, navigating Nigeria’s evolving crypto regulations to make sure the project aligns with educational and entertainment frameworks rather than financial promotion.
