SquadSafe
AI Agent for Onchain Group Vaults
About
The problem it solves SquadSafe empowers squads, DAOs, and communities to securely manage shared funds, coordinate proposals, and execute collective decisions—all onchain, with the help of an AI agent. Traditional group finance is fragmented, manual, and often insecure. Managing a shared treasury, tracking proposals, and ensuring transparent execution typically requires multiple tools, trusted intermediaries, and complex coordination. With SquadSafe, groups can: - Create programmable, multi-signature onchain vaults for collective assets. - Propose, discuss, and vote on payments, investments, or withdrawals—directly via secure messaging (XMTP). - Rely on an AI agent to automate workflows, enforce group rules, and provide real-time analytics and suggestions. - Eliminate the need for trusted admins or off-chain coordination—everything is transparent, auditable, and executed on Base. SquadSafe makes group finance safer, smarter, and radically more accessible.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Integrating secure, programmable AI with onchain group vaults and messaging was a major challenge. - Key Management: Ensuring private keys are never exposed, while enabling seamless agent automation, required robust encryption and secure storage. - XMTP Messaging: Building a reliable, real-time message loop that could parse commands, validate permissions, and interact with smart contracts—all without leaking sensitive data—was complex. - Onchain Coordination: Designing a proposal and voting system that is both flexible and secure, and integrating it with the AI agent, required careful contract architecture and extensive testing. - AI Prompt Engineering: Crafting prompts that keep the agent helpful, secure, and on-mission (without hallucination or overreach) was an iterative process. I overcame these hurdles by prioritizing security, modularizing my codebase, and leveraging open protocols (XMTP, AgentKit, LangChain) for composability and extensibility.
