SOLARNET
multichain carbon credit aggregator

About
The problem it solves SOLARNET's primary objective is to address the slow pace of the global transition to renewable energy The platform's strategy is to accelerate this shift by providing powerful and direct economic incentives to the end consumers who generate and use renewable power, It achieves this by transforming the abstract value of carbon credits into a tangible asset for individuals, thereby encouraging wider adoption of solar energy technology The platform operates as a "multichain carbon credit aggregator". The process for a user is as follows: An individual connects a proprietary SOLARNET sensor to their solar panels. The platform then automatically monitors and keeps track of the amount of green energy the individual is using. This tracked energy usage is subsequently converted into a digital asset called SNT, which represents the carbon credits generated. SOLARNET pools the credits from all of its individual users and offers them for sale as an aggregated whole on its platform. This creates a direct marketplace that connects the carbon credit generators (the end users) with the carbon credit consumers. The most significant benefit of this model is the removal of intermediaries, which allows the individual end user to "keep the full profit" from the sale of their carbon credits. This approach makes generating renewable energy not only environmentally beneficial but also a more lucrative endeavor for the individual, simplifying a complex market and maximizing financial returns for the producer.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into I encountered several challenges while trying to integrate CCIP into the project.
