    About

The problem it solves In centralized social networks, moderation and censorship decisions are made by a single entity or a small group of administrators. This can lead to unfair or arbitrary censorship of content and the perception of a lack of transparency and impartiality. Sograph is a decentralized social networking application built on the Base Sepolia Testnet blockchain, allowing for the secure and transparent creation, management, and interaction with profiles and posts using non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Sograph addresses significant problems of centralized social networks by offering a transparent, secure, and democratic system for the creation, management, and interaction of content and profiles. Through a decentralized voting system, moderation is performed by the community itself, ensuring the platform is fair, reliable, and resistant to unjust censorship and manipulation. Sograph operates on a blockchain where moderation and censorship decisions are distributed among the community instead of being controlled by a central entity. This ensures that no single party has complete control over the content or the users. Sograph implements a decentralized voting system for profile moderation, meaning the community as a whole decides on the removal of profiles, promoting a more democratic environment and reducing the possibility of unfair censorship.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into My biggest obstacle was and still is defining the parameters for a person to participate in the voting system without leaving room for any kind of manipulation. Another challenge was having to build the application within the contract size limit to be able to run on the blockchain, but I overcame this by modularizing the contract.
