    About

The problem it solves 🚧 The Problem It Solves... Traditional scholarship systems often struggle with: ❌ Lack of transparency in fund distribution ❌ Biased or centralized selection processes ❌ Limited accountability on how funds are used ❌ One-time funding that doesn’t track progress or outcomes 👑What People Can Use Skoolcein For? 1. Donors and organizations can disburse scholarships in stages, based on verified progress reducing the risk of misuse 👉🏿 **Milestone-Based Funding** 2. All transactions, milestones, and recipient achievements are publicly visible, building trust and credibility 👉🏿 **On-Chain Transparency** 3. The public can vote on applicants based on profiles, projects, or impact, reducing bias and central authority 👉🏿 **Community-Driven Selection** 4. Donors, voters, and scholarship recipients earn NFT badges that certify their contributions, achievements, or support 👉🏿 **NFT Badges as Proof of Impact** 5. Scholarship recipients who don’t meet their commitments are transparently flagged, maintaining platform quality 👉🏿 **Blacklist Underperformance**

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into - Smart Contract: Designing a flexible and secure milestone system was a major hurdle. The contract needed to support both fixed funding (equal split across milestones) and user-defined allocations. I also had to implement approval workflows, proof submission, and NFT issuance per milestone. Ensuring that logic remained modular and upgradable added complexity — especially around access control and data separation. - Backend Indexer: To provide reliable access to milestone status, user actions, I developed a backend indexer that listens to contract events and stores structured data. Handling edge cases like chain reorgs, event duplication, or out-of-order execution required implementing a reconciliation mechanism to verify event integrity and avoid data drift. - Relayer: For user convenience, especially for operations like submitting voting, I built a relayer that could broadcast transactions on behalf of users. This included strict controls to avoid replay attacks, spamming, and misuse. Managing nonce sequencing and signature validity in a secure and gas-efficient way was non-trivial. - Frontend: The frontend needed to reflect complex logic from the blockchain — such as per-milestone funding rules, approval status, NFT claim status, etc. Designing a clear UI/UX that translated these flows into intuitive user actions required close coupling between smart contract data and frontend logic. Delays in on-chain confirmations were also a UX challenge, especially for milestone progression and donation impact feedback. Bridging all these components in a cohesive and maintainable way was one of the most technically demanding parts of this project.
