Post Jobs. Take Jobs. Get Paid.
About
The problem it solves The gig economy should help creators, but it often does the opposite. Freelancers lose a big cut to platform fees, wait a long time to get paid, and don’t truly own their reputation. One account problem can erase their work history. Clients also struggle — hiring globally feels risky, disputes are slow, and cross-border payments are complicated. Crypto offers fast, borderless payments, but it brings new confusion. Wallets, gas fees, and smart contracts feel intimidating, and new users without onchain history are hard to trust. So we’re stuck between expensive Web2 platforms and complicated Web3 tools. What’s missing is simple, portable trust that belongs to the user. 🎮 How Side-QUEST Changes the Game Side-QUEST turns freelancing into an RPG-style quest system where trust, payments, and reputation live onchain — but the experience feels like a game, not a financial tool. Instead of dealing with contracts, escrows, and invoices, users interact with a quest-based world. Jobs are presented as Quests. Clients act as Quest Givers. Freelancers become Adventurers. Payments are treated as Loot that is safely stored in a vault until the work is approved. Reputation is represented through XP and badges that show skill and reliability. All the complex blockchain processes happen behind the scenes. Users simply play through clear, game-like actions while the technology quietly handles security, escrow, and verification in the background. 🧙 1. Invisible Web3 for Everyday Users Most people don’t understand things like smart contracts, gas fees, or token approvals — and they shouldn’t have to. Side-QUEST hides these technical steps. Users only see simple actions like posting a quest, completing work, and claiming rewards. Behind the scenes, smart wallets and onchain tools handle transactions, security, and escrow automatically. This gives users the smooth experience of a normal app, while still giving them the ownership and transparency of Web3. 💰 2. Stable, Real-World Rewards All quests are paid in IDRX, a Rupiah-backed stablecoin. This protects users from crypto price volatility. Freelancers can earn money that holds stable value and can be used for real-life expenses. This connects onchain work with practical, everyday financial needs. 🏆 3. Reputation Becomes Onchain XP Instead of traditional resumes or platform ratings, Side-QUEST uses a progression system. Each completed quest gives XP. More XP unlocks higher tiers and access to better opportunities. Users also earn Soulbound badges that act as permanent, non-transferable proof of their skills and achievements. This makes reputation verifiable, portable, and independent from any single platform. 🤝 4. Trust Without History New users often struggle because they don’t have past reviews. Side-QUEST solves this with two systems. Experienced users can vouch for newcomers, sharing their credibility. New users can also stake a bond, locking funds as proof of commitment and reducing risk for clients. Trust is built through social backing and economic responsibility, not just past ratings. 🔁 The Core Work Loop The experience follows a clear and rewarding cycle. A client posts a quest and locks the payment in a vault. An adventurer completes the task and submits proof. The client approves the work. Funds are released automatically and XP is awarded. This loop turns freelancing into a progression journey where users grow their level and unlock new opportunities over time.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into 🛠️ Challenges We Faced Building Side-QUEST Behind the game-like design, this system is complex to build. ⚖️ 1. Designing Trust Without a Central Authority Traditional platforms rely on support teams to resolve disputes and judge trust. Side-QUEST replaces this with smart contracts, XP systems, bond staking, and vouching logic. We had to design rules that reduce fraud while still giving new users a fair chance. This required careful economic and game-theory balance. 🎭 2. Hiding Web3 Complexity Without Losing Security We wanted the app to feel simple, but financial transactions are happening in the background. Wallet signatures, contract interactions, and fund releases must remain secure and reliable. At the same time, users need clarity without being overwhelmed. Designing something both simple and safe is a major UX challenge. 💸 3. Building a Smooth Onchain Escrow System Using IDRX required handling token approvals, vault contracts, payment release conditions, and refunds. We also had to consider edge cases like canceled work or disagreements. All of this had to work seamlessly on mobile with minimal steps. 📈 4. Designing a Fair XP Economy XP controls access to better quests, so balance is critical. If XP is too easy to earn, reputation loses meaning. If it’s too hard, new users cannot grow. We had to carefully design reward rates, level thresholds, and mentorship incentives to keep the system fair and motivating. 🧑🤝🧑 5. Turning Social Trust into System Rules Vouching introduces responsibility. If an expert vouches for a bad actor, there must be consequences. We had to think about risk sharing, abuse prevention, and how to stop groups from gaming the system. Combining social trust with economic incentives is one of the hardest design problems in Web3. 📱 6. Making Finance Feel Like a Game We weren’t just building contracts. We were designing animations, feedback systems, progression mechanics, and emotional rewards. Balancing fun, clarity, and financial accuracy at the same time was one of the toughest parts of the project.' 🌍 The Vision Side-QUEST isn’t just a freelance tool. It’s a trust layer for the onchain creator economy — where reputation is owned, payments are stable, and work feels like leveling up in a game. Instead of “finding clients,” creators go on Quests. Instead of “platform ratings,” they earn XP. Instead of “escrow services,” there are Loot Vaults. We’re not gamifying work. We’re making digital labor feel rewarding, fair, and truly owned IDRX: 0x12f860a916bbA9E756ef7Ce2d4631b3DA18B21ad Main Contract:0x16701aADdfBb55e0b3c7114E61731329F1857208
