    SettleX

OTC & Premarket Trading with Onchain Settlement

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Early token trading and private allocations often happen off-chain through informal agreements or centralized brokers, which introduces several issues: - Counterparty risk between buyers and sellers - Lack of transparency in OTC deals - Manual settlement processes that can fail or be manipulated - Limited infrastructure for premarket trading before token launches - No standardized way to manage early investor allocations Because of this, early-stage deals and token allocations frequently rely on trusted intermediaries, which contradicts the decentralized ethos of Web3. **SettleX solves this by creating an on-chain infrastructure for OTC deals and premarket token trading, enabling transparent commitments and automated settlement through smart contracts.** Key Features: - Premarket Token Offers Users can create buy or sell offers for tokens before the official launch. - Collateralized Participation Participants lock collateral to ensure commitments are honored. - On-chain Settlement Logic Smart contracts automatically manage token and fund transfers when settlement conditions are met. - OTC Deal Creation Users can create direct over-the-counter agreements for token trades. - Transparent Contributions All contributions and allocations are visible on-chain. - ENS-Based Identity Human-readable identities using Ethereum Name Service instead of raw wallet addresses.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into During development, several challenges emerged: - Designing a fair settlement mechanism for both buy and sell offers. - Handling multiple contributors while ensuring secure token distribution. - Managing collateral locking and refund scenarios when offers fail. - Implementing time-based settlement logic tied to the token generation event. - Handling edge cases such as partial fills and expired offers. Additionally, debugging the premarket flow across both the smart contracts and frontend interaction layer required careful testing to ensure correct state transitions.
