Run Trakx
Decentralized way to compete in a run or marathon
Demo
About
The problem it solves Run Trakx tackles persistent pain points in race event management by replacing centralized platforms like RaceRoster with a decentralized, blockchain-powered hub built on the Base blockchain. Opaque systems erode trust, as platforms risk result tampering, leaving organizers and runners uncertain about race integrity. Run Trakx eliminates this with immutable, on-chain records, ensuring every finish time and placement is transparent and verifiable, fostering trust across events. Complex fiat payment systems exclude global runners, especially in regions with limited banking access, restricting event reach. Run Trakx introduces stablecoin payments, enabling seamless, borderless registrations that open races to a worldwide audience. Additionally, the lack of bounty races and global leaderboards limits engagement and competition; Run Trakx solves this by offering wallet-based bounty payouts and global leaderboards, incentivizing participation and connecting runners universally. From professional race organizers to community groups hosting local runs, Run Trakx empowers users to create trusted, inclusive events with a user-friendly platform, democratizing access to race management. By leveraging Web3, it drives blockchain adoption in the $1.9 billion running events market, unlike RaceRoster’s outdated, centralized model. Run Trakx is making the transaction more easier when joining a marathon Public may also organize a run within their circle of friends. Trust the Run with Run Trakx!
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Developing Run Trakx faces challenges in building a robust Base blockchain integration for secure, scalable event management, ensuring user-friendly onboarding for non-Web3 race organizers, and competing with established platforms like RaceRoster. One of the problem I am seeing right now is the smart contract to make it single or make it multi contract as it encapsulated seamless functions and flow, we'd like not to degrade the security. Futhermore, one of the things want to test is the application of IoT specifically the rfid and bib where there is a tracker lies.
