The problem it solves What if the next time you didn't have to start thinking months in advance about what to give everyone for christmas or what gift is okay for your 17 year old neice. PresentDAO allows users to upload the gifts they have given or recieved along with the speceications of the reciever to the platform. Then other users can enter the specefications of the person they are gitfting to and what kind of gift they want and voila! A list of gifts given to similar receipients shows up. It allows users to add gifts they have recently given or received from someone. It allows users to search for gifts given the specifications of the receiver. It allows for a review and rating system to generate proper feedback. Essentially makes the whole process of thinking of gifts before birthdays easier and peer-connected.E
How it's made
Challenges we ran into I really had an issue with the UI as I am not a UI/UX developer but in the end, I first made a powerpoint about the exact desgin I wanted and tried to copy it. I really learned a lot by doing this. I also had some issue with deploying the contract, and i figured out in the end my RPC URL was wrong. The most difficult thing however, was writing effecient and non-repetitive code. I can still improve on that.
