    About

Why are you participating for Based LatAm? I am a developer based in Argentina, focused on solving real-world problems through blockchain technology. Argentina offers many opportunities to optimize processes, build user trust, and, most importantly, ensure transparency in financial matters. Government processes are often slow and lack transparency, but I believe that implementing blockchain solutions can significantly benefit the population. Additional Features ERC-20 Compatibility: The contract supports any ERC-20 token (USDC is used in this demo). Flexible Withdrawals: The account holder can withdraw funds anytime. Proof of Life: Regular interactions with the contract ensure continued access and can be manually updated.

    How it's made

What challenges are you focusing on? The issue I focused on is that most elderly people who retire in Argentina receive an income below the poverty line. Why does this happen if they contributed for 30 years to their retirement? The root of the problem lies in government policies that redistribute funds to individuals who never made contributions. As a result, those who did contribute receive less, creating a clear inequality. It’s a simple but unfair equation. How does your submission address this challenge? My project does not solve the current problem but aims to benefit future generations who will retire. Through a smart contract, users can deposit USDC or any ERC-20 token to accumulate funds until they decide to retire. The funds are invested in Aave to generate passive returns. Additionally, we’ve implemented a security system: if the contract remains inactive for 3 years, a designated backup wallet can withdraw the funds, acting as a form of inheritance for the family. Challenges we ran into The main challenge I encountered was integrating the smart contract with Aave. I had to do extensive research online because the official documentation is not very clear.
