About
The problem it solves **Diploma fraud has become a serious issue worldwide.** Believe it or not? Education fraud costs over $70M a year, 64% of resumes have false claims, and traditional certificates checks take up to 4 weeks. In today’s fast-paced world, that’s simply too slow and too costly!  Hence, we introduce OwlSecure, a Web3 diploma fraud prevention platform that uses Web3Auth for secure logins, IPFS hashes for tamper-proof decentralized storage, and The Graph for fast, public on-chain verification.  You can’t fake your certificate anymore!
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **Dependencies (Web 3 auth)** One major hurdle was that Web3Auth has many dependencies that needed to be studied one by one, making integration complex and time-consuming. To overcome this, we carefully reviewed the documentation and examples for each dependency, then gradually integrated and tested them step by step. This methodical approach helped us understand how the components fit together and enabled a smooth, user-friendly authentication flow. **Lack of knowledge** We started this project knowing nothing about The Graph, which made indexing and querying blockchain data a big challenge. To overcome it, we dedicated time to learning The Graph’s concepts, tutorials, and official docs step by step. We also experimented with simple subgraphs before building the full one for my project. This hands-on approach helped us understand how to efficiently retrieve and display on-chain data, making the verification process fast and reliable.
