    About

The problem it solves Our project solves the problem of inconsistent and manual reward distribution in open-source development. Today, many developers contribute meaningfully to important repositories but receive little or no recognition, while others may be rewarded through fellowships without active participation. Our system uses an autonomous agent that listens for GitHub pull request events, evaluates their relevance using AI (via AWS Bedrock), and automatically rewards valid contributors with SOL or SPL tokens using Coinbase’s CDP Wallet. These reward events are transparently stored on IPFS through Pinata, creating permanent, verifiable records of contributions. We also integrate x402pay to offer monetized access to advanced contribution analytics, enabling organizations to sustain reward pools through usage-based revenue. This makes open-source contribution more fair, transparent, and continuous — without any manual effort.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges we faced was handling the integration between GitHub webhooks and our backend logic. Initially, GitHub’s ping and pull_request events were not being received correctly due to a misconfigured webhook route, returning 404 errors. We debugged this by inspecting headers and payloads, ensuring our server was listening on the correct path and using proper Content-Type. Another major hurdle was securely triggering onchain SOL transfers using Coinbase CDP Wallet while preserving contributor privacy and preventing replay attacks. We solved this by mapping GitHub usernames to wallet addresses off-chain and validating payloads carefully before allowing any transaction to be signed. Additionally, formatting and uploading structured metadata to Pinata/IPFS in a consistent way was tricky — especially when dealing with async webhook flows — but batching and error handling helped us stabilize the upload process. Coordinating all of this across decentralized services required thoughtful architecture, but overcoming these hurdles gave our agent true autonomy.
