How it's made
Challenges we ran into Building ** VibeCaster**, even as a mini-app, presented several interesting challenges, particularly in balancing simplicity with powerful functionality: 1. **AI Integration for Humor (Roast Generation):** • Hurdle: Early AI outputs were repetitive, bland, or sometimes offensive. • Solution: Extensive prompt engineering, tone adjustments, and negative prompting until roasts felt witty, safe, and fun. 2. **Farcaster Frame Limitations & UX Simplicity:** • Hurdle: Frames are powerful but constrained designing voting, leaderboards, and multi-step flows without overwhelming users was tough. • Solution: Reduced interactions to one-tap actions, leveraging Farcaster’s native auth. No endless wallet prompts. 3. **On-Chain Logic for Dynamic Rewards (Points & Badges):** • Hurdle: Wanted flexible points/badges without complex proxy contracts. • Solution: Built admin-controlled functions to adjust values post-deployment. Rewards evolve without redeploying or bloating contracts.
