The problem it solves ### Matic-Covalent-Discord-BOT aka mcBOT is a discord bot that can be added to any server on Discord. ## @MaticCovalentCheckBOT#7780 Using a set of simple commands, a user can interact with the BOT and get various information from the Matic (now Polygon) chain. All endpoints are made available by the CovalentHQ Grade A API. To start interaction with the BOT, send: > `/hello` To see all commands available, send: > `/help` To send a command to the BOT, kindly see the list of avaible commands: > `/commands` For example, to get information on MolochDAO for example, send: > `/tran molochdao` Note that commands are not case sensitive The BOT will ignore commands that are not on the list of accepted commands. The use cases of the BOT are limitless as it can be sent direct messages.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into This is my first Discord BOT project, it was really a learning experience. Thankfully, it is in JavaScript which is my primary language. I had a lot of help using the CovalentHQ API docs and resources on deploying to Heroku.
