Cross-chain DeFi shield & yield optimizer

    About

The problem it solves The Problem It Solves Managing DeFi positions across multiple blockchains is complex, risky, and time-consuming. Users often: Struggle to track debt positions on multiple protocols and chains. Risk liquidation due to delayed response times or manual monitoring. Overpay interest without knowing better options exist across protocols. Lack automation to react in real-time across chains. What This Project Enables This project uses Chainlink CCIP, Automation, and Functions to bring intelligent cross-chain automation to DeFi: 🔒 Liquidation Protection Automatically monitors lending positions on multiple chains and prevents liquidation by transferring liquidity across chains when health factors drop too low. 📉 Interest Rate Optimization Uses Chainlink Functions to detect if you're paying high interest and automatically refinances your loans to better protocols. 🔁 Cross-Chain Liquidity Management Keep your funds safe on a single chain (e.g., Ethereum) while managing debt on others (e.g., Avalanche, Polygon) — no more manual bridging. ⚙️ Fully Automated Workflow Once configured, the system runs on autopilot using Chainlink Automation — no need for 24/7 monitoring. Makes DeFi Safer & Smarter By integrating this system, users gain: Peace of mind from automated risk management Better capital efficiency by reacting instantly A blueprint for cross-chain DeFi automation using Chainlink tools

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Building a cross-chain automated DeFi protocol came with several hurdles: 🔄 Handling Cross-Chain Messaging Delays One of the biggest challenges was the inherent latency of Chainlink CCIP for cross-chain messaging. This delay could cause actions like liquidation protection to trigger too late. How I solved it: I implemented a buffer threshold for health factors and used Chainlink Automation to proactively monitor positions. Instead of reacting at the last moment, it initiates protection actions before liquidation risk becomes critical. 🧠 Dynamic Protocol Discovery via Chainlink Functions Fetching the best lending protocols and interest rates across chains in real-time was tricky. Chainlink Functions required strict sandboxed APIs and had limits. How I solved it: I used pre-approved APIs and structured responses to stay within the Chainlink Functions execution limits. I also cached the data to reduce redundant fetches and avoid timeouts. 🧪 Simulating Multi-Chain Transactions Locally Testing cross-chain workflows locally is hard. Simulating CCIP and verifying the right sequence of actions without a full multi-chain setup was challenging. How I solved it: I created mock contracts to simulate CCIP behavior and used Hardhat’s forking feature with testnets like Sepolia, Fuji, and Mumbai to mimic live behavior more realistically. 🔐 Ensuring Transaction Atomicity Across Chains Since transactions across chains can’t be atomic, ensuring data consistency and recovery from partial failures was essential. How I solved it: I implemented retry logic and event-driven state sync mechanisms. I also added fallback handlers to re-initiate stalled processes if a step failed mid-way.
