A Digital Twin Distributed Ledger
About
The problem it solves We often hear of cases of intellectual theft, or disputes over ownership of entities. Even if ownership is established, there is no secure and simple manner of transferring ownership. This also leads to a lot of plagiarism, uncredited licensing, etc. Having a decentralised ledger to keep track of who owns what allows us to securely transfer and maintain ownership. Through the use of Digital Twins, we can model not only digital assets, but also Physical and Intellectual Properties. To solve this problem, we have developed a solution which leverages the power of Blockchains to provide a hassle free and secure protocol for maintaining and sharing ownership. We have used IPFS for deduplicated data storage, Torus for frictionless user authentication, NuCypher for RSA based access control and Matic for a highly scalable payments system.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into The biggest hurdle we faced while building the project was that we are relatively new to the Ethereum ecosystem. This is the most advanced tech stack we have worked on till date. We ran into issues figuring out how to integrate the smart contracts with our Web dApp. With great help from the mentors, and a lot of documentation reading, we finally figured out the dataflow.
