Why are you participating for Based SEA? I am participating in Based SEA to address the critical waste management challenges in Indonesia while also increasing crypto adoption in the region. My motivation stems from witnessing the significant environmental impact of waste production and the potential of innovative solutions like Kintoss to streamline recycling efforts. By leveraging blockchain technology and cryptocurrency incentives, I aim to engage more individuals and communities in sustainable practices, ultimately fostering a cleaner environment and promoting the benefits of crypto within the local economy.
How it's made
What challenges are you focusing on? I am focusing on the challenges of fragmented waste management systems and low public awareness surrounding recycling initiatives in Indonesia. The lack of unification among waste banks complicates recycling efforts, making it difficult for individuals to participate effectively. With the help of Base, I aim to address these challenges by providing a streamlined platform like Kintoss, which aggregates multiple waste banks into one account. This will simplify the recycling process and incentivize participation through crypto rewards, ultimately empowering communities to take part in sustainable practices while fostering greater awareness and engagement in waste reduction efforts. How does your submission address this challenge? Key features like the Base Smart Wallet facilitate seamless onboarding for new users, allowing them to quickly connect and start recycling without barriers. The Base Paymaster enables gasless transactions, ensuring that even those with zero balances can participate without financial strain. Additionally, the redeem options incentivizes users to engage in recycling by offering crypto rewards (ETH & Basename) for their efforts. Challenges we ran into While developing Kintoss, I faced hurdles, particularly as a newcomer to OnchainKit. A key technical challenge was integrating the app with the Paymaster and Smart Wallet for gasless transactions. Fortunately, Base provided a repository that simplified this process. On the non-technical side, raising awareness about Kintoss was challenging, so I focused on community engagement through social media and local events. By combining technical solutions with outreach, I believe Kintoss will positively impact waste management and crypto adoption in Indonesia.
