About
The problem it solves What Can People Use KAIROS For? KAIROS helps individuals stay accountable to their personal goals by adding real financial consequences to task failure. Users can use it to: Stick to routines like workouts, studying, or daily writing Beat procrastination with self-set deadlines and penalties Stay committed to building side projects or learning consistently Break bad habits by linking them to financial punishment Turn any personal task into a high-stakes commitment Whether you're building a new habit or pushing through resistance, KAIROS makes discipline easier by turning your wallet into a source of accountability — no excuses, just execution.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenges I Ran Into Designing enforceable task logic: Building a flexible system that allows users to define their own tasks, deadlines, and penalties — while still ensuring penalties are automatically enforced by the contract — took multiple design iterations. Mapping time-based logic to smart contracts: Solidity doesn’t support native scheduling or cron-like behavior. I had to architect around this by tying task state updates to user or verifier interactions and considering future integration with Chainlink Automation for trustless time checks. Penalty flexibility: Supporting both social penalties (funds sent to a mentor) and temporal penalties (locking funds longer) required branching logic and secure state transitions without overcomplicating the contract. Gas efficiency & security: I had to keep the contract gas-conscious while avoiding reentrancy, timestamp manipulation, and task abuse. Account Abstraction integration
