About
The problem it solves In traditional supply chain finance, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face three major hurdles: Payment Delays: Suppliers often wait 30, 60, or even 90 days to get paid for goods they’ve already delivered. Double Financing Fraud: Fraudsters sometimes sell the same invoice to multiple banks or factoring companies. This risk makes lenders cautious, leading to higher interest rates for honest businesses. High Barriers to Entry: Traditional "factoring" (selling invoices for cash) involves heavy paperwork, high fees, and intermediaries that many small businesses cannot afford or access.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into While setting up unit tests, I kept getting a TypeError: getSigners is undefined. Even after installing the recommended plugins, I ran into ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND. It felt like my computer was trapped in a fight between CommonJS (the old way) and ES Modules (the new way). The Fix: I performed a "Hardhat Reset." I deleted the node_modules and package-lock.json files, cleared the Hardhat cache, and then explicitly installed the @nomicfoundation/hardhat-toolbox. This ensured that every package—from Ethers to Chai—was on the same version page and compatible with my hardhat.config.js
