InqBlock
"Decentralized Knowledge, Verified by Consensus." Further: a decentralized repository for blockchain and Web3 knowledge, where accuracy is determined by the community
About
Why are you participating for Based Africa? This would be my first hackathon, I am a Nigerian, who initially struggled to onboard to web3. Thankfully i had an amazing community who helped out, and introduced me to Base, and i would like to do same for others.
How it's made
What challenges are you focusing on? We're addressing the lack of centralized, verified knowledge in the Web3 and blockchain space. Currently, newcomers and even seasoned users face scattered, inconsistent information from unverified sources, which creates confusion and hinders growth. InqBlock tackles this by creating a decentralized repository where knowledge is vetted by community consensus, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and trust in the information available. Through the Base platform, we aim to bridge knowledge gaps and empower users with reliable, blockchain-verified information. How does your submission address this challenge? InqBlock solves the problem of scattered and unreliable Web3 knowledge by creating a decentralized platform where users can ask questions, provide answers, and verify information through community voting. This ensures that the knowledge shared is trustworthy and accurate, based on collective agreement. By rewarding users with points/tokens for contributing and verifying information, InqBlock encourages active participation and helps build a reliable source of blockchain knowledge. The goal is to make Web3 information easy to access, trusted by the community, and constantly updated as the industry grows Challenges we ran into I’ve been incubating this idea for a while, as my own journey in the Web3 space has been challenging. Resources are scarce, fragmented, and often hard to verify, which I realized was due to the industry's early stage. With this in mind, I gathered a few friends with the hope of building a solution that could support our local community and others facing the same struggles. Our first challenge was figuring out how to get started. Thankfully, Base provided great resources that we could leverage to learn and build as we progressed. This experience fueled our desire to create a platform like InqBlock to help others access reliable knowledge in the Web3 space
